	We pride ourselves on being the very best Guest House that we can possibly be. Our rooms feature beds that are seven feet long so if you are tall or simply like the idea of lots of space to relax in, Sheriff Lodge is for you. One of the main differences that you will see between Sheriff Lodge and other B&Bs that you may have visited is that you don't feel that you are treading on someone else's personal space. Our own accommodation (Kate & Alan - The Owners), whilst in the building, is sufficiently separate from guest accommodation - including guest lounge - that you have the hotel experience without the impersonality of a vast amount of staff Our breakfast is, we like to think, second to none and features an 'a la carte' menu from which you can choose as much or as little as you like. If you choose all of the menu you will get 11 items on a 12 inch plate - which should set you up at least until lunchtime! Traveler Reviews for Sheriff Lodge	The Duchess Kiera's been here again! This time as the star of the costume drama based on the life of Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire. Click here to go to the official movie page. It is fitting that the movie was made with Chatsworth as one of the featured houses as Chatsworth is the current seat of the Duke & Duchess of Devonshire. In addition Kedleston Hall was used in the movie and that beautiful building is less than 30 minutes way from Sheriff Lodge. Pride & Prejudice Country For film fans (and fans of the gorgeous Kiera Knightley) you might like to know that in 2006 Chatsworth House  became the star of a production of Pride & Prejudice - it starred as Mr Darcy's home - Pemberley! You might also be happy to learn that Sheriff Lodge (ten minutes drive from Chatsworth) has discount tickets to visit this fantastic property - saving you £2 per person off the entry price. Let us know just when you plan to visit and we'll do the rest Sheriff Lodge, a non-smoking establishment, is situated on a hill and offers spectacular views over to the hills opposite towards Riber Castle. Parts of this beautiful building date back to 1754 and it stands in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales, making it an ideal base for exploring the Peak District National Park and surrounding countryside with its numerous attractions. The Other Boleyn Girl A stately home even closer to Sheriff Lodge became the setting for Sony pictures 'The Other Boleyn Girl' starring Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansen. 	We currently hold awards from the English Tourist Council (ETC) that give an indication of the standard of rooms and service that you should expect when you visit.  Each year, since we bought Sheriff Lodge, we have made improvements that have resulted in ever increasing accolades. We now hold a coveted and, we think, deserved, Gold Award. ...and Ladies & Gentlemen it has finally happened - the Inspector has called. I am proud to announce that Sheriff Lodge is the holder of a Four Star Guest House Gold Award...and they are not easy to come by. Just click on the Four Star logo over to the right and you will be taken to an explanation of the grading system as it now stands - if you really want to know just what the inspectors are looking for you can even download the Quality Assurance Guide via that link - although 63 pages is a little hefty.
